Newcastle Port Information

Newcastle ferry port is easily accessible, located just 8 miles east of Newcastle City Centre.

The ferry terminal is located at Royal Quays dock. DFDS Seaways sail from Newcastle to Ijmuiden / Amsterdam (Holland), Kristiansand (Norway) and Gothenburg (Sweden).

Getting There

Newcastle ferry port provides a useful link to the continent from Scotland and the North of England.

From the West head towards the City, then follow signs for the coast/A1058.

From the North & South take the A19 to Tyne Tunnel roundabout which is north of the River Tyne.

The ferry port is well sign posted and is located in the Royal Quays.

Haugesund Port Information

This is an increasing popular destination due to the many historical sites and archaeological finds. DFDS offer two sailings a week from Newcastle taking approximately 21 1/2 hours and then onward to Bergen.

Getting There

To continue your journey by car you can take the E-39 motorway to Bergen & Stavanger or alternatively the E-134 to Oslo. If on foot then the bus and train station are located in the center of the town.
